Years in business
Fidelity has been in business for 35 years. This is a decent amount of time in the home warranty world, which is only 48 years old. Fidelity began as Alliance Home Warranty, but it was acquired by Fidelity National Financial, Inc. in 1998.
Fidelity National Home Warranty ratings
Fidelity has been BBB-accredited since August 2005. It has maintained an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which is difficult to do.
However, it has an average score of 4.3 out of 10 across reviews sites, like Consumers Advocate, Home Warranty Reviews, and ConsumerAffairs. This poor review is mostly service-related with attributes like bad customer service, slow repair time, and low-quality repairs.
Our conclusion
House Method gives Fidelity National Home Warranty a 2.5 out of 5 stars. While we’re impressed with its BBB rating, the customer reviews make us wary of this home warranty company. As one of few home warranty companies that cover new construction, Fidelity may still be worth considering if you recently bought a home.

The A/C guy came out the same afternoon and fixed the capacitor in [a] timely and professional manner.
Pest control service for mice was declined because it was rats and not mice. The tech was very kind and complemented me with some mice traps. He showed me where the rats were coming into my house and was very helpful.
I’ve gotten a return on my investment and am very happy with Fidelity.

I read all of the negative reviews before submitting a claim for my stacked washer [and] dryer that was leaking water. I figured it was going to be a lost cause. I had a totally different experience.
Fidelity sent out a local appliance repair person (who also had horrible online reviews, [by the way]) and they quickly assessed my unit [that] needed to be replaced. I followed up with Fidelity about 4 days later and was told they would replace my unit at no cost or send me some cash in lieu of the replacement. I opted for replacement and the new unit showed up about a week later—around one week before I expected it.
I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share my positive experience.
